When you report a problem, it helps a lot if you say which operating system the computer runs, what the app showed on screen, and what you had already tried.

The app cannot connect

The computer has to be running an SSH server and it has to be reachable.

  • macOS: System Settings → General → Sharing → turn on Remote Login.
  • Windows: use Set up a Windows computer in the app. It installs and starts the OpenSSH server, opens port 22 in the firewall and adds this app's key. Nothing is sent to the internet.
  • Linux: install and start openssh-server.
  • If the app says the computer refused the connection, the machine is on but SSH is not listening, or the port is different.

Windows rejects my password

If the computer signs in with a Microsoft account and only a PIN or Windows Hello, Windows does not allow SSH password sign-in. On the computer: Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options → turn off "only allow Windows Hello sign-in", lock the screen and sign in once with the password. Then try again. The user name is the local name on the computer, not the e-mail address.

Waking the computer does not work

Wake-on-LAN needs three things: the network card must accept wake packets (the app can turn this on), the setting must also be enabled in the BIOS/UEFI if the computer was fully shut down, and the packet has to reach the machine. Wi-Fi often cannot carry it — a wired connection is much more reliable. If your phone is on another network, another computer you saved that is awake on the same network relays it.

The live screen does not start

The screen feature needs a streaming host on the computer; the app offers to install and start it for you the first time. If it was already installed by hand, the app may need to pair with it once. On Linux, screen sharing goes through the desktop's screen-capture permission — the first time, the system asks you on the computer.

Connecting from outside my home

On your own network the local address is enough. Outside, the computer needs an address that is reachable from the internet, or a VPN between your phone and your computer. Once you have connected once, the app fills in that second address on its own.

Purchases

Membership is handled by Apple. Use Restore purchases on the membership screen if a purchase does not show up on a new device. Subscriptions are cancelled from your App Store account settings, not from inside the app; the app cannot cancel them for you. Your saved servers and keys stay yours even without a membership: you can view, edit and export them.

Deleting your data

Everything the app stores is on your device. Deleting the app deletes it. If you turned on iCloud sync, turn it off before deleting to remove the copy in your iCloud account.

Uygulama bağlanamıyor

Bilgisayarda bir SSH sunucusu çalışıyor ve erişilebilir olmalı.

  • macOS: Sistem Ayarları → Genel → Paylaşım → Uzaktan Oturum Açma'yı aç.
  • Windows: uygulamadaki Windows bilgisayar hazırlığı'nı kullan. OpenSSH sunucusunu kurup başlatır, güvenlik duvarında 22 numaralı kapıyı açar ve bu uygulamanın anahtarını ekler. İnternete hiçbir şey gönderilmez.
  • Linux: openssh-server kur ve başlat.
  • Uygulama "bilgisayar bağlantıyı reddetti" diyorsa makine açık ama SSH dinlemiyor ya da kapı numarası farklı demektir.

Windows parolamı kabul etmiyor

Bilgisayar Microsoft hesabıyla ve yalnızca PIN / Windows Hello ile açılıyorsa Windows SSH parola girişine izin vermiyor. Bilgisayarda: Ayarlar → Hesaplar → Oturum açma seçenekleri → "yalnızca Windows Hello ile oturum açılsın" ayarını kapat, ekranı kilitle ve bir kez parolayla gir. Sonra tekrar dene. Kullanıcı adı bilgisayardaki yerel addır, e-posta adresi değil.

Bilgisayarı uyandıramıyorum

Wake-on-LAN üç şey ister: ağ kartı uyandırma paketlerini kabul etmeli (uygulama bunu açabiliyor), bilgisayar tamamen kapatıldıysa ayar BIOS/UEFI'de de açık olmalı ve paket makineye ulaşmalı. Kablosuz ağ çoğu zaman bu paketi taşıyamıyor; kablolu bağlantı çok daha güvenilir. Telefonun başka bir ağdaysa, aynı ağda uyanık olan başka bir kayıtlı bilgisayar paketi iletir.

Canlı ekran başlamıyor

Ekran özelliği bilgisayarda bir yayın sunucusu ister; uygulama ilk seferinde kurup başlatmayı teklif eder. Daha önce elle kurulduysa uygulamanın bir kez eşleşmesi gerekebilir. Linux'ta ekran paylaşımı masaüstünün ekran yakalama izninden geçer — ilk seferde sistem bilgisayarda sana sorar.

Ev dışından bağlanmak

Kendi ağındayken yerel adres yeter. Dışarıdayken bilgisayarın internetten erişilebilir bir adresi ya da telefonunla bilgisayarın arasında bir VPN gerekir. Bir kez bağlandıktan sonra uygulama bu ikinci adresi kendiliğinden doldurur.

Satın almalar

Üyeliği Apple yürütür. Yeni bir cihazda alımın görünmezse üyelik ekranındaki Satın alımları geri yükle'yi kullan. Abonelik iptali App Store hesap ayarlarından yapılır, uygulamanın içinden değil; uygulama senin adına iptal edemez. Kayıtlı sunucuların ve anahtarların üyelik olmadan da senindir: görebilir, düzenleyebilir ve dışa aktarabilirsin.

Verilerini silmek

Uygulamanın sakladığı her şey cihazında. Uygulamayı silmek onları da siler. iCloud eşitlemeyi açtıysan, iCloud hesabındaki kopyanın da gitmesi için silmeden önce eşitlemeyi kapat.
